Multiple venues onboard
AD has played a major role in designing the ship’s entertainment spaces, dining and public areas. While each space has its own distinct design, it was also a fundamental objective to ensure fluidity when travelling from space to space.
Prego
We’ve incorporated a large, bespoke mosaic on the wall as a defining design feature and included a controlled palette of rich indigoes and teal blues so the space would create a natural flow to the adjoining venues.
We designed our own laminate for the joinery and an entwined design for the ceiling pendant (lighting). The wall lighting features a brass plate with an ornate finish. The objective was to achieve a bright room that could flow naturally into the adjoining Vintage Room or be closed off as a standalone space for smaller, intimate occasions.
Connoisseur Club
The Connoisseur Club is a warm space for relaxing and enjoying high-end whiskies, brandies and cigars. This called for a rich and layered palette with in-direct, concealed lighting to evoke an intimate atmosphere.
We created a bespoke humidor with cedar inlays, and subtle nods to the design of whiskey glasses were incorporated into the glass front on the wooden cabinets that line the room. Artwork and objet d’art were crucial in dressing the space to create notions of refined opulence.
Umi Uma
We worked closely with Nobu’s designers to translate the Japanese-Peruvian fusion experience to the expedition vessel.
